Library rules & student conduct
The following rules apply to all students using the library facilities. By using the library, you agree to abide by these rules at all times.
- 1.Every student must complete the admission process to use the library facilities.
- 2.Students must maintain silence inside the study area.
- 3.Students must follow all library rules and instructions given by the library management.
- 4.Students must use their designated seating area.
- 5.Loud talking, unnecessary movement, shouting, or disturbing other students is not allowed.
- 6.Mobile phones should be kept on silent mode inside the study area.
- 7.Students must keep their seats, study tables, and the campus clean.
- 8.Students must not damage books, furniture, equipment, electrical items, or any other library property. Otherwise, a fine will be imposed by the library management.
- 9.Students must not change the AC temperature or operate the AC without permission from the library management.
- 10.The library provides up to 3 hours of power backup during power interruptions. Electrical facilities must be used responsibly.
- 11.Food and beverages are not allowed inside the main study area. Students should use the designated refreshment area.
- 12.Students must maintain cleanliness and use the green/refreshment area responsibly.
- 13.Students are responsible for their own mobile phones, bags, books, and other personal belongings. The library will not be responsible for loss or damage.
- 14.Smoking, alcohol, gambling, fighting, abusive behaviour, and any illegal activity are strictly prohibited on the library premises.
- 15.Students must behave respectfully with other students, staff, and library management.
- 16.In case of loss or damage to library property, the concerned student may be required to pay the repair or replacement cost.
- 17.Once admission is completed and the admission fee is paid, no refund will be provided if the admission is cancelled for any reason.
- 18.Students must follow the prescribed subscription timings of the library.
- 19.The library management reserves the right to modify, update, or introduce rules whenever necessary for the better management of the library.
- 20.Violation of library rules may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or cancellation of membership without refund.
- 21.In case of any dispute or special situation, the decision of the library management shall be considered final.
- 22.After the expiry of a student's subscription, the student must renew it within the specified time to continue using the same seat. If the subscription is not renewed, the management reserves the right to allot the seat to another upcoming student.
